Ok, so its Christmas, thank God! now we can move on. Christmas sucks and so does the holiday spirit. Around this time of the year I make scrooge look like a fucking member of the Radio City Rockettes. 

So besides christmas sucking(except for Home Alone and food of course), know what doesn't suck? auto tuning and Britney Spears! embracing modern culture has never felt so good! Her newish album Circus is real good. I'll probably crash my car soon due to my excessive interpretive dancing which obviously doesn't involve holding the steering wheel. If you haven't somehow heard some of the tracks, you should check your pulse and then check them out.  Godspeed

 

Dear Santa,

For Christmas this year I only want one thing, a miniature pony. My room mate is leaving for Chile and a Pony would do real well in her room. I'll even buy the hay and vegetables, maybe even a rhinestone encrusted heart brush to make him/her look glamourous. Here is a reference picture so you get the right one. I'm pretty fucking excited( as though theres levels of being fucking excited, apparently I'm at one of the lower ones...) for new years eve this year because I'm planning on seeing Crystal Castles at Williamsburg Music Hall. I haven't bought tickets yet, so the 2 am show better not sell out or I'll gut-a-bitch( metaphorically or literally? maybe both.) If not I can always spend the night (like last year)  running  from the cops and ripping my pants on a fence woo. Ahhh! I totally forgot that this dvd was ready for me to buy! David Bazan's voice  is "like the sound of sirens to a house on fire"(Alkaline Trio refrence on a blog! how punk...wompwompwomp).Yeah. David Bazan is the brains behind the bands Pedro The Lion and The Microphones which both are really good, though Pedro is the better of the two. Alone At The Microphone looks as good as the celebratory dead turkey on my table tomorrow will smell. I'm psyched "Options" is on it because it's a real premium track, you should listen to it! if you haven't before

I'm really into this man's paintings lately, he shares a site with Kanevsky as discussed earlier so maybe thats why. Anyways, I love his color (obviously) and his  forms create an awesome sense of movement mmmmmm. His work has inspired me to continue my recent series of paintings which are also abstract works on paper woooo! Hopefully I'll post some of them soon!

This man's photography  is the cookie's chip or the unicorn's horn or! Erykah Badu's hair , I can't decide! Either way he is awesome. His photos in his Detention and self portrait series are all eerie and beautiful( the best combination). I had a hard time choosing which photos to post so you should go check them all out here!

Hannu- Worms In My Piano

This album sounds exactly like the cover art, which looks really good, cus we all know cold weather is the best kind of weather!!! Textured electronic ambient music mmmm.I usually listen to this album to fall asleep, its like winter frost melting into your ears, but in a good way. I cant figure out how to upload a full album yet wompwompwomp but the track Haapavesi is real good(you can download it from that link). Wait till around the 55 second mark, the loop makes my tear ducts reverse and cry tears of joy out my ears. Godspeed

Alex Kanevsky's Visitations series

Alex Kanevsky paints space ridiculously well, I wish I could lay on the floor in this painting uggh look at the walls too. If  the colors he uses were people Id be best friends with them. We'd  probably hug way to often.

Takashi Iwasaki is currently one of my favorite artist. He is the first person to make me want to have sex with a wall. Check out the embroidery work on his site as well mmmmmm. Cheers
